It’s no surprise that Lincolnshire is highly popular for wedding venues with brides and grooms-to-be. With gorgeous, countryside views, stunning, well-designed venues and amazing, locally sourced food, a lot of couples decide to go for Lincolnshire as their wedding destination.
I have crafted many wedding cakes in Lincolnshire for a host of venues. I love making cakes for the beautiful venues in the area. Here are just a few of the
cakes I have made and the wonderful places they chose for their special days.
William Cecil Stamford - Floral wedding cake Lincolnshire
I was honoured to make lovely couple Karen and James a gorgeous wedding cake in
Lincolnshire that was based on the flower decoration at the William Cecil venue in
Stamford. A beautiful, floral design, the cake featured peach-coloured carnations with
some well-placed greenery. With a real look, the flowers were hand-crafted out of edible
wafer paper before being placed on the top of the four-tier cake. These blended
wonderfully with the white and bark effect tiers. The flavours were also divine of this
wedding cake with four different flavours. The bottom tier was a traditional vanilla sponge
with a homemade strawberry jam. The second tier was red velvet with a delicious cream-
cheese flavoured meringue buttercream. The third tier was a light lemon cake and the top
tier was a vegan chocolate cake with a plant-based meringue-type buttercream which
completed the gorgeous wedding cake.
The William Cecil at Stamford is a beautiful, sophisticated venue and one of the most well-
known in the popular area of Stamford. The hotel is a historic venue which oozes charm
and character, ideal for a traditional wedding. In welcoming and beautiful surroundings, the
venue in Lincolnshire offers a unique experience for couples hoping to have the weddings
in their dreams.
The Granary – a Harry Potter themed Lincolnshire Wedding Cake
I was happy to put a bit of a magic touch to Dani and Steve’s Harry Potter themed wedding with the pair being massive fans of the beloved wizard tale. The venue, The Granary, where I crafted the unique wedding cake is great for any type of theme and was the perfect place to set up my Harry Potter wedding cake creation. The marque for the wedding was set up with all the furniture designed to make the wedding guests feel like they were stepping into the film. As well as the themed table decoration, there were potions on the cake table which were also fitting for the theme. The cake they chose for their big day was on theme and I airbushed and handpainted the cake with their names and the chosen wedding date. The cake was completed with a golden snitch sat on the top tier. As for flavours, they chose delicious chocolate for the largest tier, followed by a tier of carrot cake, vanilla and finally a raspberry white chocolate. What a delicious selection for the wedding.
The Granary is a truly delightful wedding venue for couples and is a beautiful rural retreat
that is secluded and magical for a wedding day. With the Lincolnshire countryside as a
backdrop, this is a gorgeous venue for weddings and worked well with the unique Harry
Potter theme. I was delighted to present my creation at this beautiful venue in Lincolnshire.
The Blue Bell- Art Deco Style Lincolnshire Wedding Cake
It was an honour to make a stunning wedding cake for a dear friend’s wedding and it’s still one of the biggest, most magnificent cakes I have made yet. While it was challenging with plenty of shopping trips to ensure I had everything I needed, the baking and storing of such a large cake and ensuring everything was completed in time as well as the cake transported to the venue, I was delighted with the amazing result. My beautiful friend and her husband had chosen the gorgeous The Blue Bell in Lincolnshire for their big day. As the marquee in the venue was large, my friend requested a show-stopping cake which
would be the main focal point. And it truly did that as it made a real statement in the beautiful wedding venue. With an art deco theme, the cake was sophisticated and unique and my friend was delighted with the result.
The Blue Bell Pub in Easton on the Hill is a popular venue, just on the outskirts of
Stamford in the popular Lincolnshire destination. The marque is stunning in the gardens
and you can see the beautiful countryside in the surrounding areas. With a countryside
pub feel, the Blue Bell Pub was a great choice for a wedding venue and was amazing for
my friend’s big day.
