Christmas Cakes in Peterborough? Here’s Everything You Need To Know

I know it’s felt like Christmas has been creeping in since August, but if you’re anything like me, you’re only just starting to think about it properly. So yes, I’m very happy to say that I'm offering Christmas cakes in Peterborough this year.

And because I always listen to you lovely lot, I’ve based the flavours and options on what you’ve loved most throughout the year.

Let’s have a little kitchen-table chat about how my Christmas cakes differ from traditional ones, what flavours you can choose from, and how to order yours.

How My Christmas Cakes Differ From Traditional Ones

Most classic Christmas cakes are rich fruit cakes, usually soaked in alcohol and packed with raisins. Mine are nothing like that. My Christmas cakes in Peterborough are made the same way I make my celebration cakes, with soft, light sponge and my silky Swiss meringue buttercream. No raisins in sight, I promise. They look festive, taste luxurious, and still feel light after a big Christmas dinner.

If you haven’t tried Swiss meringue buttercream before, here is a link to find out more. It’s the buttercream I totally swear by. 3 reasons to choose a Swiss meringue buttercream cake

Flavours and Sizes for Your Christmas Cake Peterborough

This year I’ve gone straight to the flavours you’ve chosen again and again. You can order your Christmas cake in:

  • Vanilla

  • Rich and moist chocolate

  • Chocolate orange

  • Salted caramel

(I did consider lemon because it was so popular this year, but it didn’t feel very Christmassy.)

Sizes available:

  • 6” – 14 portions

  • 7” – 20 portions

  • 8” – 26 portions

  • 9” – 30 portions

Each cake has three layers, and portions are based on 4" x 2" x 1" slices.

I always feel Christmas is for treats people truly love, not the ones that end up sitting on the table after dinner.

What Will the Design Look Like?

I was busy designing and photographing it yesterday, and it captures exactly the feel I was going for. Simple, beautiful, and a little rustic. A smooth finish, a few festive touches, and just a hint of gold and seasonal sprinkles.

Something that feels special on the Christmas table without being over the top. I'm in love with cakes that look effortless but still feel magical, aren't you?
